Speaker: John Friedewald, MD
Medical Director, Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation

  • John J. Friedewald, MD, is a transplant nephrologist on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an associate professor of Medicine and Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After earning an undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton University and a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Friedewald completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Nephrology both at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

  • Dr. Kew is the Medical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Speaker: Michael J. Germain, MD
Medical Director, Renal Transplantation and Associate Professor of Medicine

  • Dr. Germain is a transplant nephrologist at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and a Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. Dr. Germain has served on the board of ESRD Network 1, UNOS, AST, and local organ bank committees. His major research interests are the predictors of progressive loss of renal transplant function, exercise in renal disease, and renal palliative care.

Speaker: Neeraj Singh, M.D., F.A.S.N., F.A.S.H.
Medical Director, Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation

  • Dr. Neeraj Singh graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. Dr. Singh completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at State University of New York in Buffalo, NY. He went on to complete another fellowship in Transplant Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is currently the Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center and serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport.

Dr. John Holman
Vice President, Medical Affairs

  • Dr. Holman is a transplant surgeon by training who received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He has over 30 years of experience in delivery of clinical healthcare (general surgery and transplantation surgery) as well as pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostic development. He is currently the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Transplant Genomics.
